"...and let the one who believes in me drink. As the scripture has said, ‘Out of the believer’s heart shall flow rivers of living water.’”
John 7:38

I have been an RN for 30 years, and worked in many different areas of nursing, including Spinal Cord injury rehabilitation in the VA system, Cancer treatment and Bone Marrow Transplant at a St. Louis University hospital, home health, hospice, and long term care.  In 2014, I attained my Master's in Nursing in order to teach in my field.  During student clinical days at the Hospital,  I found that nurses today are able to spend very little time actually touching their patients.  I had taken a Healing Touch course in the 90's, and knew that the addition of this practice to Nursing Education would enable nurses to maximize the effectiveness of their caring for people at the bedside.  My goal is to become instructor certified in Healing Touch, and promote incorporating Healing Touch into Nursing education curriculum.

I am also an accomplished musician with recent recordings (one of which is embedded into this website) from Longs Chapel United Methodist church.

     ABOUT Healing Touch
Healing Touch is a Nationally accredited Energy-based Complementary Medicine which has been shown through evidence-based research to support the Body's ability to heal.  Areas of research and practice include:  Pain management, stress and anxiety management, accelerated healing after surgery or injury, and promotion of deep relaxation and mental clarity.
Healing Touch activates a person's natural energy flow to enhance and support physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health and healing.  The heart centered practitioner utilizes light or off-body touch to clear energy blockages and balance energy flow.
Healing touch sessions last 30-60 minutes, depending on client needs.  The session involves practitioner assessment of client health and wellness background, energetic assessment, and light or non-touch work over the body.  The work can be done in any location or body position, and does not require a belief system from participants.
The national website for healing touch is www.healingtouchprogram.com.  Interested readers can find extensive information at this site regarding the history, current practice, and ongoing research of Healing Touch.
Interestingly, one of the goals of Healing touch program is that every home in the world has someone familiar with the basic concepts and techniques.  Truly anyone can do healing touch, and anyone who reaches out to touch someone with healing heart-centered intention can promote wellness and healing.
